HiRISE Opportunity
♫ Monday, October 9th, 2006The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter took the following photo of Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on 10/3/2006 from under miles above in orbit. This image shows you how detailed the MRO photos will be. To quote the article:
The range to the target site was 269 km (168 miles). At this distance the image scale is 27 cm/pixel (with 1 x 1 binning) so objects ~81 cm across are resolved.
