That time again, again

Tuesday, September 21st, 2004

On my run this morning, several things happened to me: 1) I almost froze, and 2) I saw Orion again. As Bob mentioned in his blog, the weather has turned and we are having a nice spell of cool weather. WRAL says it is 54 degrees right now, but when you are used to running in the 70′s or 80′s, it was quite a change. Also, this is the first morning in some time when there was no cloud cover and the sun rose late enough that the stars were out and boy were they out! Orion was low over the southeast sky and Venus was shining brightly above the brightening eastern skyline.

Romeo & Juliet

Thursday, September 16th, 2004

As many of you know, Alana is playing the role of the Maid in Terrence Mann’s production of Romeo & Juliet – A Rock Musical. We saw it tonight and it was wonderful (a completely unbiased opinion). There is another show on Saturday evening at Broughton High School if you want see the show. I highly recommend it.

Our Biggest Gig So Far

Sunday, September 12th, 2004

On this last Saturday (9/11/04), my Irish band, Baile Daire, played at the 3rd annual Celtic Fest at Regency Park Ampatheater in Cary. NC. It was by far out largest audience on the bigest stage. I have not way to knowing the exact figure but I’d guess that there were several hundred folks in the audience

I took this shot from beside the stage just before we came on

We had a great time and I think the gig went off very well. I’ll post more pictures in the next day or so. Jeff’s daughter had a camera and got several shots while we were playing.
